Our Weekly Dispatch Process

All orders are handmade by Keto Smart Bakes owner and busy Mum, Julie Gillingham. As a solo start up business, having a weekly dispatch schedule allows Julie to bake and deliver the freshest Bagels and Bases possible. We have a 10 day turn around time for orders depending on which day you order.

  • Orders open each Sunday at 7pm and close Friday 11:59pm
  • Items are made fresh the following Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
  • Then dropped off to the Courier Wednesday afternoon
  • Orders should be delivered the following week on Thursday or Friday after you placed your order.   

We package all of our orders in specialty chilled packaging. This is designed to maintain safe temperatures during our target delivery timeframe, of 24-72 hours. Our products are stable unrefrigerated for up to 5 days.

* If you are rural, the overnight couriers can take 2-3 days, and we cannot guarantee they will arrive within our target timeframe of 24-72 hours.

Product Information

Macros
The nutrition information and ingredient list can be found with each product on our shop page. As well each product has nutrition information labeling.

Sweetener
In our Sweet bagels we use Sweetnz Monk Fruit Extract.

Storage
All our items have been shelf life tested – they are stable unrefrigerated for 5 days but we recommend they are kept refrigerated for up to 10 days unopened or in an airtight container or they can be stored in the freezer up to 3 months. Bagels are best sliced prior to freezing.

Allergens
Our products are Gluten Free but do contain Dairy, Sesame Seeds and Nuts(Almonds/Pecans). Please see individual items for their allergen warnings.

Our Kitchen
We run an MPI registered home kitchen in Northland. We have recently changed our scope to be able to supply to restaurant and retail locations to make it easier for you to get your hands on our products in the future.

Delivery Costs

We use Post Haste/NZ Couriers Posts service to deliver anywhere in New Zealand.

Please note rural deliveries can take 2-3 days and cannot guarantee they will arrive within our target timeframe of 24-72 hours.

We use specialty chill packaging to ensure our products arrive as fresh as possible, our prices reflect this packaging.

Local Delivery & Pickups

Due to our rural location we do no allow pick up of orders and delivery isn’t currently available. However please message us and we can see what can be arranged.

Our Delivery Packaging

Our Bases and Bagels are couriered in our specialty chill packs. 


Eco Pouches:
Contain a “WoolCool” insulation liner layer and “Thermogard” gel ice to ensure the integrity of our products.

Our target delivery is within 24-72 hours. Orders are suitable unrefrigerated up to 5 days.

Bagel and Base Boxes:
Packed into a “Chilltainer” box with “Thermogard” gel ice and a eco blanket (new 2021) to ensure our products integrity.
